California has become too large for a Federal system of governance -- population, economic, geographic.

IMO the way forward is to split the state into three following geographic lines such as rivers and mountain crests.

Sending three new states into the future allows each one to craft laws, policies, regulations, and governance procedures specific to their regional needs, goals, and aspirations instead of trying to find a one solution fits all for regions that really have very little in common.

The reality is east hates west, north hates south, west throws its weight around w/o regard for consequences, and south is culturally unique.

Smaller is simply better.
